In the tip of the day email I ask a simple question: What is the one thing that "trips you up"? I get all sorts of responses but this one seems to land in my inbox frequently:
"Several people have candy dishes at their desk which we all eat and since sweets are one of my biggest
weaknesses, I am going to TRY to not eat any candy for the next week."
The candy bowl is kryponite for so many of us. The only thing I've found that works is to make it an absolute, off limits, can not have, ever, not even one, no matter how good you've been doing type of thing.
If you are one of those that thinks you're doing a favor for everyone by having Hershey Kisses in a bowl at your desk, you're making it that much harder to stick with a diet plan. I know, dieting "discipline" comes from within, but please get rid of it or keep it in your desk.
